From artist Danny Ho comes The Scorch-R . Based on a stock standard 1.8 Litre kitchen kettle, the Scorch-R lived up to its name after scalding the competition (and several bystanders) at the 2007 Kettle Nats in Canberra. A new custom built thermostat will see it back in the race for 2008. This is the second worked kettle for owner Danny Ho after his previous custom, The Scald-R, was targeted by Kettle Jackers in Western Sydney late last year.You have the chance to bid on a one-off piece of art designed and created for Fantastic’s Pimp My Kettle promotion. This relief carving is by award winning sculptor John Nottage. It is a relief carving depicting Alexander the Great fighting the Persians. The wood carved is Jelutong and it is 925cm X 675 cm and weighs approx 15kg. The thickness of the relief is 140mm. The carving is encased in a frame and behind glass.
